Building Bridges Across Continents, Countries and Cultures: Deepening Our Connection with Cameroon
Building Bridges Across Continents, Countries and Cultures: Deepening Our Connection with Cameroon
At the Alma Film Festival, we believe cinema can build bridges across countries, cultures, and continents. Every shared story and creative exchange helps us understand one another, and that understanding can grow into lasting relationships.
Our partnership with the Cameroonian film community puts that belief into practice. We are building a consistent, long-term relationship rooted in shared purpose, creative exchange, and support for filmmakers and their work.
On November 3, 2026, Alma Film Festival Founder, Festival Director, and Managing Producer Anthony R. Page joins Tabe A. Wesley for a live online conversation. The session is the latest step in a relationship built through acting workshops, film curation, and connecting Cameroonian creatives with an international community.

Our Six Pillars in Practice
Six pillars guide our work: Conversation, Connection, Community, Collaboration, Cultural Diplomacy, and Collective Growth.
We start with conversation, listening to the experiences and ambitions of our creative peers. Those exchanges build connection, showing us what we share and what we can offer one another. With care over time, connection becomes community. Community makes collaboration possible through workshops, programming, film curation, and shared platforms. That work is cultural diplomacy: cinema lets people encounter lives beyond their own borders. And the goal is collective growth, meaning relationships that open opportunities for everyone involved.
Creating Pathways for Cameroonian Stories
Our work with Cameroon goes beyond a single session. Acting workshops create space for learning and exchange, and film curation brings Cameroonian stories to new audiences. Cameroonian films are currently featured on Signify TV, one of our partners, which gives audiences another way to discover the country’s filmmakers.
Building across borders takes consistency: staying in conversation, following through on shared ideas, and giving relationships time to grow. That is how we approach this partnership, and we look forward to deepening it, welcoming new collaborators, and expanding opportunities for education, exhibition, and creative exchange.
Collections from Cameroon, Fiji, and Lesotho are streaming now at www.Signify.TV.
With Gratitude
Special thanks to Tabe A. Wesley for coordinating these activities and consistently bringing people together. We also thank Between Takes Magazines for their support throughout, and the collaborators and students helping this relationship grow.
