Blue Bistro Creative Announces Cast for Somewhere in Summerville

(ATLANTA, GA) Anthony R. Page will be producing and directing his groundbreaking, original stage play: Somewhere in Summerville for the 2018 Atlanta Black Theatre Festival.

The play is a contemporary drama, with comedic elements, that examine the intra-diversity within the Black community. The story and characters were inspired by Anthony's experiences doing local and regional theater throughout Georgia and South Carolina. One of the unique attributes of this play is the opportunity to see actors transition into multiple characters across varying storylines.

"It's honest, it's beautiful, enlightening and there are quite a few ah-ha and awe sh#t moments.”
~Anthony R Page

Somewhere in Summerville will be presented on
Thursday, October 4, 2018, at 8pm.

To bring this production to life, Mr. Page and his team at Blue Bistro Creative, took actors thru a very unique selection process. Anthony offered some insight into selecting his cast - - "We have very unorthodox auditions. We know what we need for each production and work to develop and sustain an environment that is consistent, creative, and collaborative. An environment where each person involved can be free to do their best work. In this case, we weren't looking for strong individual performers, we were looking for the best ensemble and we found it. We believe we have a group that will allow us to reach the fullest creative potential of this production."

To that end - - the cast for Somewhere in Summerville for the 2018 Atlanta Black Theatre Festival includes Jason C. Louder, Candice Marie Singleton, Al ChauncyAngel L. Henderson, Philip PearsonSamiah Alexander, and Timothy Richardson.

The Atlanta Black Theatre Festival will be held on October 3 – 6, 2018
at the Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center located at 3181 Rainbow Drive - Decatur, GA 30034.
