MORE ABOUT THE PLAY:
Somewhere in Summerville is a ground-breaking new drama, with comedic elements, that looks deeply into the world of regional theater in the Southeast. The full-length production has 2 distinct storylines that examine the intra-diversity within the Black community, with characters that are sure to appeal to a wide audience. One of the unique attributes of this play is the opportunity to see actors transition into multiple characters across varying storylines.

The story and characters were inspired by Anthony's experiences doing local and regional theater throughout Georgia and South Carolina. As he states, “with a few of the productions, I have been a part of, there was often more drama behind the scenes than on the stage. So I began to write about some of those experiences and the end result is Somewhere in Summerville. It's honest, it's beautiful, enlightening and there are quite a few ah-ha and awe-sh #t moments.”
