Private Screening of the film P.I.G.S. - Powerful, Intentional, Legendary

Image
Anthony R Page, pictured here with Director Aaron Spellz.  I got a chance to attend a private screening of the film P.I.G.S. last weekend. All I can say is that this is one helluva movie. Executive Producer/ Writer/Director AARON SPELLZ pulled together a phenomenal group of talent and crew to make a legendary film. It's the kind of project that can launch a career. And I suspect for a few in the cast and crew, it will do just that. I am grateful for the opportunity to play a supporting acting role as the character PEANUT (love this character). The film will be hitting the festival circuit soon, so if you hear about it..make the effort to check it out...of course, I will keep you informed.  Some of the Actors from the film P.I.G.S. Pictured here (L-R) are Joey Thurmond, Anthony R. Page and Wes Lee NOTE: I know some of y'all remember what BOYZ N DA HOOD did for John Singleton and what FRUITVALE STATION did for Ryan Coogler...it's like THAT! All in all, there were so many mome

A Review of Adira Dela Croix 6.0 by Edward Fairley III (Originally published in The Clayton State University Campus Newspaper) In a world full of stories about the struggle of the average African American to find their place in a country that doesn't see them, Adira Dela Croix 6.0 opts to take a much more unique approach by flipping the coin.  Set in the future in 2096, we come to see a world where Texas has become a separate country, there are colonies on the moon in desperate need of resources, and the most pressing social issue on the table is that of "machine rights".  The Cast of Adira Dela Croix 6.0 (L-R) Dante Sellers, Devin A. Shaw, and Tatiyana Mixon. Our eye into one side of this issue is Denton Dela Croix, a tribal leader (according to the bio) who has found himself falling in love with his android assistant Adira. He spoils her, treating her as if she were his wife (with whom we later find he is divorced) giving her everything from an expensive new upgrade to

There were a number of milestones connected to the collaborative team. Justin Brown made his debut as a playwright. Angel L. Henderson , Joe James , and Nicholas Miles Newton made their debut in directing for the stage. This marked Sefora Adjaho's stage debut, although she has done a number of works on film and television. Celeste Myers marked a major milestone as this was her very first production, ever, as she is new to the world of acting. We also like to acknowledge each of the teams: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- A PROMISED LAND Written by Regina

Anthony R Page Lays the Groundwork for An Acting Conservatory In Atlanta

Image
"I have been coaching actors since I got out of college in 2002, working with people from a variety of backgrounds, most with little, to no experience. Over that time, there have been many Ah-Haa and Uuuuhhh-Weee moments and I knew we had only scratched the surface of what is possible. So for a long time, I have been wanting to go deeper into “that” and explore those possibilities. That time is now..."  ~ Anthony R Page ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With the creation of Studio Blue, we are looking for actors and aspiring actors to be a part of our inaugural class. In the class, we are taking more of a conservatory approach versus a class or workshop approach. Therefore, each session will be conducted in 60-90 day cycles.  For Phase 1, the weekly classes will be much longer than usual (6 – 9 hours) and will be abstract, immersive, and unorthodox. Each intensive class will challenge actors emotionally, mentally, and physic
