Crisis and Courage to Preview in Atlanta During 2014 Sickle Cell Community Gathering & Education Symposium

Sickle Cell Anemia Advocate and Survivor: La'Veda Wallace-Page, D.Mus will present excerpts of her new play: Crisis and Courage on July 19th at 7:00 pm at the Doubletree Hotel (Buckhead). The play is a part of a series of activities presented by Sickle Cell Warriors, Inc. for their 2nd Annual Sickle Cell Community Gathering and Educational Symposium , which takes place from July 17th – 20th in Atlanta . Crisis and Courage chronicles La'Veda's struggle with Sickle Cell Anemia as a patient, a sister, and a mother and includes testimonies of the many men and women, she has interviewed, who struggle against the disease. The play features performances by Raheema T.
