Anthony R. Page Directs Miss Monique's Lashon's New Play: Shades of Love.

Augusta, GA. Raisin' AJ Productions has selected Anthony R. Page to direct Shades of Love, a new stage play written by Miss Monique LaShon, an on-air personality with Clear Channel's Power 107 in Augusta, GA.

The dramatic play will debut at the historic Imperial Theatre in Augusta, GA on November 15th at 7pm.

Shades of Love, (the sixth stage play produced by the company), looks at the struggle for acceptance by an interracial couple as they attempt to win the approval of their families.  It's a story of hope, inspiration and laughter that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Page remarked, "the play is well-written with very well defined characters, which is always great for a director." Shades of Love will feature breakout performances by Samuel Fudge, Amanda Lynn Joyce, Matt Calcutt and Benetra "The Boss Lady" Calhoun.

Olaundra Grace, Rashonda Martin-Butler and Tyrice Lollis, who have all been featured in previous productions anchor a solid ensemble of performances. "All in all this is going to be a solid production, with a variety of memorable characters and really great story elements."

This is the second collaboration between Raisin AJ Productions and the Director. The company previously worked together on a reprisal of their most successful production: Unavailable, which featured a star-studded cast of local and national talent including Benzino, Althea "Thi Thi" Eaton and Erica Pinkett all from the hit VH1 series: Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.

Unavailable also featured Terrell Carter, who brought down the house with a highly energized yet comedic performance. Terrell is an 8-year veteran of many Tyler Perry touring stage plays and has had recent success in movies such as Think Like a Man Too and Diary of a Mad Black Woman.

In keeping with Raisin AJ Productions' tradition of bringing in well known talent, Shades of Love will also feature a cameo appearance by newly elected State Senator: Harold Jones as well as a celebrity guest appearance by Tony Grant, who currently stars in Tyler Perry's Love Thy Neighbor.
