Breaking the Silence of the Sonic Boom

This video includes testimony surrounding a culture of sexual abuse and apathy at TW Josey Comprehensive High School in Augusta, GA.

The direct testimony of former TW Josey High School students Linda Childs-Martin (1980 - 1985) and Ebony Patterson-Harvey (1997 - 2001) is included.

This pattern of behavior persisted for more than 20 years...and many of the students believed, the adults knew about it...yet no one did anything. We admire the courage of these women who shared their testimony.

This video is not appropriate for anyone under 18 years old.

On Tuesday, November 17, 2015, the I Breathe I Rise Foundation planned a protest of the Augusta Branch of the NAACP's special election. The protest was held at 925 Laney Walker Blvd. From 4pm to 9pm.

The National NAACP made a decision to hold these special elections to specifically allow Charles Smith to run again for President of the Augusta Branch. Dr. Smith committed numerous human/civil rights atrocities against more than 25 students during his tenure as the leader of the TW Comprehensive High School marching band.

The community spoke and Dr. Smith was defeated and now Dr. Beulah Nash-Teachey serves as the new president of the Augusta Branch of the NAACP.

Here is the video of the November 17th Protest
