Anthony R Page Will Teach A Series of Acting Classes at the West End Performing Arts Center

Making the transition back into Atlanta's creative community, I am excited about returning to the classroom and teaching a few acting classes at the West End Performing Arts Center as part of Fulton County Arts & Culture's learning programs.  - - - Anthony R Page, MBA

Some additional information about the classes and registration info is below.

Here are the Course Descriptions:

Adult Acting – Advanced – Tuesdays from 6:45 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
This course will help the experienced actor master a role by deeply exploring ways to develop performance control, stage/screen presence, interesting character elements, and advanced techniques for understanding the script. Designed to push actors to the point of breakthrough, each session can become quite intense.

The course will be built around scene work as well as individualized, self-paced projects. We encourage students to bring material to the course to develop or we will work with them to select works that will accelerate their growth.

This course is built around character analysis, and scene study/monologues with some work on the fundamentals of various acting approaches, styles, and techniques.

Teen Acting (ages 13-17) Thursdays from 5:45 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
This is an introductory course that helps the young actor understand how the industry works as well as how to begin the process of creating and developing memorable characters.

Each session is built around exercises in non-verbal communication, vocal variation, character building, and some monologue and scene study.
