Meet Playwright: Victoria Renee

Victoria Renee is a real girl with reel dreams. Since she was a child growing up in College Park, GA, she always enjoyed using her imagination to entertain those around her. She did impressions, created characters and performed monologues, drew comics, and wrote her first book at the age of 9. This fascination with characters, behaviors, and stories increased as an adult. Victoria earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in clinical psychology from Barry University and Columbia University, respectively. While in academia, she became an official blogger for her graduate school, Teachers College, and student contributor to the online blog, The Odyssey.

Her writing abilities assisted her with her research enabling her to travel to Cambridge and London, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, and Dubai. Her travels and interactions with patients and people from all over the world aid her to develop uniquely compelling characters for her stories. She has always found writing to be therapeutic for herself and her clients, so while working with at-risk, delinquent, and severely emotionally disturbed youth, she implemented writing and theatrical therapies for her clients. Victoria Renee hopes that her storytelling may educate, communicate, entertain, and heal readers and audiences around the world.
