New Playwright Quinn Bartlett, Makes Her Debut With a Caribbean Inspired Dramatic Comedy.

CANVAS - - An island fairy tale, for grown folks. Come experience the odyssey of “Queen” as she journeys inward to discover her true value. Laugh with her and share her tears as she grows, as she heals from the hurts, and as she finds her own voice…and what a voice it is! Anthony R. Page directs this lively, fast-paced dramedy. With his vision, he leads this talented diverse cast to unfold a universal story that tickles, teases, and titillates.

This Caribbean fairy-tale is led by a strong cast that includes Quinn Bartlett as Queen, flanked by Michelle Lamb, Fabian LaTrone, and Garrett Patterson. They are supported by a strong group of emerging talent that includes Meki Mac, Adrian Smith, Jovita Johnson, Layla P, Kashla Star, Angelina Edwards, and Dustin Sean Lazenby as “The Mirror.” There will also be a special guest appearance by a notable spoken word artist: Dichotomy.

With CANVAS, Quinn Bartlett aka “Da Mighty Queen” makes her Atlanta debut as a playwright. Partly raised in the Bahamas and growing up in Miami, she’s seen and lived in both cultures and wrote a piece that infuses both. Queen bares her soul and invites you to laugh with her, look inside her and, just maybe, take a look inside yourself as well.

This plays also featured choreography by Britt Brown and includes original music from Jamaica's own R&B Diva Jae Hemmings.

CANVAS will be presented to Atlanta audiences on November 9, 2019, at the Clayton County Performing Arts Center, 2530 Mt. Zion Pkwy, Jonesboro, GA 30236

Performances will be at 3PM & 7PM
