SidPo Productions and the APEX Museum To Host a Judgment-Free Panel on Mental Health

“The mental health conversation is important in all communities but more specifically in minority communities because awareness is the first step in change.” ~ Terell Tepper MA LPC NCC CAMS II

(ATLANTA, GA) SidPo Productions and the APEX Museum invite the public to engage in an intimate, authentic, and judgment-free conversation surrounding mental health on August 6, 2022.

The honest and open discussion will begin at 6 pm in the Museum's main gallery at 135 Auburn Avenue, NE Atlanta, GA 30303.

Panelists include:

“Our mental health dictates how we feel, how we behave, and how we make decisions, so these conversations are important for everyone. When we have discussions surrounding mental health, it is a step towards destigmatization and normalizing experiences that can potentially affect any of us at some point in our lives.” ~ Janelle Dawsey, LMFT

With support from Blue Bistro Creative and Impact Atlanta International Magazine, this community impact initiative is part of Mental – a one-woman show chronicling Sid Powell's life-long battle with depression. Directed by Powell, the show features Atlanta rising star Beliria Sims.

There will be performances on October 8th, 9th, 15th, and 16th starting at 7 pm.

“Sid is quite transparent about her experience with depression. This effort is another opportunity to promote many levels of catharsis across our community. We have to do what we can to make sure more of us are OK.”  ~  Anthony R. Page
