T!GHT Debuts at the Cannes Film Festival

 PRODUCTION TEAM...1st Assistant Director (1st A.D.)

T!GHT (the 1970's-themed film) at the CANNES FILM  FESTIVAL

I had the opportunity to serve as the First Assistant Director on a film that has been accepted as part of the Diversity Screening Series at none other than THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL – one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. The film will be screened on May 21st in France.

It was a world-class vision backed up by a world-class team led by Director TY REY (Ty Williams).

He was flanked by a dynamic and synergistic team of Executive Producers that included Nia Hill, Mikenzie Lewis, Chris 'Chicago' Buck, Joshua H.B. Dennard and Ty also served in this capacity.

They had additional producing support from Jarrod Austin, Anny Jules, Brandi Richard Thompson, Heni Zoutomou, and Elizabeth Thompson. Brian Bradley was behind the camera as the Director of Photography.

Set against the backdrop of the Atlanta child murders, two cohorts devise a scheme to get their hands on some fast cash. When their plan ultimately fails, one last desperate act leaves their attended victims' lives in utter devastation.

The cast includes: Kerwin Thompson (Benny), Shayla Hudson Riggle (Charli),  Anny Jules (Marli) Rashal James (Kidnapper – voice), and Heni Zoutomou (Little Man – voice)

Kerwin and Anny also served as producers on the project.

This was one of the first projects that my students at the STUDIO BLUE ACTING CONSERVATORY worked on. So I want to acknowledge Cheryl Evette Booker, JEROME STEPHEN MANNING, AZHANE KENNEDY, and PATRICE HRABOWSKIE who all worked behind the scenes in various capacities.

Stay tuned additional updates on this project will be forthcoming.
