I started in the entertainment industry as an actor, however by focus and expertise I am now a producer, director, and writer. Over the years, having been a part of many independent film, TV, and theater projects that were underfunded and understaffed, it seemed par for the course that we were all expected to wear a multitude of hats - - if we were all truly committed to making the best projects possible. On these teams, there was always a unanimous commitment to do what needed to be done, but all too often, when it became difficult people found a way to exit stage left. In a storytelling process that is fully integrated and interdependent, one-piece falling away can have a tremendous impact on the outcome. And everyone else that was a part of that process loses. The result - - no meaningful return on their investment of time and talent nor the validation that comes with a well-executed, completed project. This is a selection of our design and photography work over the period. My family and I took an extended trip to the Bahamas for a family wedding. Of course, I have all the cool shots of us on the waterfront and picturesque images of the ocean, but I also took some time to get off the beaten path to explore the island and see it the way the locals see it. Anthony R. Page has written and will direct a short film titled The Important Part(s) of Me . The suspense-filled drama centers around a young woman's mental health condition and the impact it has on her marriage. Tackling a topic that is often taboo in the black community, the 30-minute film stars Beliria Sims as Ne'One Neale and Kenneth "KB" Brown as her husband Glenn. In the film, Ne'One fights to preserve her marriage while going through an individual crisis that has created a state of defiant retrenchment. Despite all of her husband's efforts to connect, she seems to sink deeper into a mental and emotional trough. Over a very short period, her condition worsens, in what can best be described as a psychological civil war. Beliria shared her connection to the character's experience.
