America Unfiltered - - (Documentary Series in Post-Production)
America is changing and as one of the subjects included in our documentary declared, "We are at a tipping point." So we set out to examine, in some detail, how Americans view our country's artists at its crossroads. We have interviewed a variety of people, who are on the ground and in the fray of American life.

Wanda Dansereau is a visual artist
living in Belvedere, SC

It's a democratic project in many ways. The people in the documentary are married, single, Republican and Democrat. Some follow formal religious practices, while others do not. They range in age from 14 years old to 75.  There is also variety in ethnicity including Latino, Black, White and Asian.

Anibal Ibarra is a community activist
living in the Harrisburg Community
of Augusta, GA

It's an ambitious and ongoing project and will take many years to complete. We are in the initial phase of the project. Currently, our efforts are centered on Americans living and working in Augusta, GA. Future cities of focus include Atlanta and Savannah, GA; Nashville, TN; Detroit, MI; Washington DC / Baltimore; MD and Raleigh, NC among others.

Sounds of the Underground - - (Reality TV Series)

The Millennial Generation consumes music differently than their parents and grandparents. Working with a variety of partners, we have developed a series centered on this evolving musical lifestyle. Over the short horizon, we have plans to pitch the series to a major network that has expressed some interest in the project.

Many of the elements of the project are proprietary, so I am not going to share much beyond this. However, we have secured 5 unique personalities to be a part of the show.

We have established a page to post the progress of this project at:

Roommates (A Web-Series)
Although most of my time is spent directing and producing, I still jump at the opportunity to do interesting roles in front of the camera.

Jasmine Ballard, Shatareia Stokes, and Eric Poe developed this series and it's currently in production. I will play the father of Jasmine Ballard's character.

Indie Filmmaker, Joshua Seymour continues to produce and direct this series. I play the character of Genghis Jiles. We started last year and the series continues.

This project is growing. And the director has "something" and that is why I elected to do this project...he will be around.

Theater - Live Performance:

Crisis and Courage - - (A Stage-play for the Cause of Sickle Cell Anemia)
My wife, Dr. La'Veda Wallace-Page, has Sickle Cell Anemia. For most of our time together, she was private and did not like to publicly share her struggle with this debilitating disease. However, after several conversations with Dr. Abdullah Kutlar, the Director of the Sickle Cell Center for Georgia Regents University, she decided to step forward and be a voice.

Since that time, she has done several speaking engagements, performed a one-woman show based on her experiences, and has developed a grass-roots campaign for awareness.

To further our advocacy efforts, we have also developed a full-length stage play that will be used to call attention to the many people who struggle. The show is expected to be presented in a variety of settings throughout the country in 2014 and 2015.

A documentary about those living with sickle cell anemia and those who support them is also part of this project.

The Morris Museum (Southern Narrative) - - A series of short plays and spoken word

On February 8th of this year, we did a series of works that were inspired by paintings that were a part of the permanent collection at the Morris Museum of Art.

Our portion of the day-long activity included performances by Anthony "Sleepy Eyez" Carter (the new Poet laureate for the CSRA African American Arts Alliance); Sassett West aka Abstract C.I.M; and performance artist Shaquilla Jackson.

My wife, Dr. La'Veda Wallace-Page, also produced and co-directed a play that looked at the history of African American dance. This production starred Shauna Biles and Samuel Fudge. I capped off the series with excerpts of some of my most personal writings from a one-man show that is in the works.

Advocacy
Hair and Fashion Extravaganza
Johnson Youth Organization held a fabulous fashion event geared towards families and young people. The event took place on Saturday JAN 25th at the Maxwell Performing Arts Center on the campus of Georgia Regents University. With more than 50 models in the show, it was one of the largest and most dynamic fashion events in the city.

The event also featured several local hip-hop artists and a show opener by the CSRA's Poet Laureate: Anthony "Sleepy Eyez" Carter. Tara Johnson is the founder of the organization and director of this event. Using the talents of her team at Dominion Hair and Beauty Salon, collectively they did a fabulous job with these young people. Love the event, it was nearly flawless in many areas.

Graphic Design:
Blue Bistro Creative has completed our first major book cover design series for Author: Dawn Angela Mickens.

We are excited about this project.

Here's a little more detail about the author and the book.

In her book, DawnAngela Mickens takes you on a journey of discovery. A discovery of self! Finding herself unemployed after a successful 20-year career in the real estate industry she was upset and frustrated. She had absolutely no sense of “DawnAngela”. She’d lost her identity!  There had to be a transformation. It is the result of the self-discovery that prompted DawnAngela to pursue modeling and then author the book: Timeless Rebel: Empowered to Pursue the Dreams Within. By defying time, she became “Timeless” and by rejecting society's expectations, she became a “Rebel”.

Whether you are in a place of uncertainty, panic-stricken, or a richly satisfied woman, this book is for you! No matter who you are or where you may find yourself in life, it is never too late to pursue a dream.

In this book it is her sole desire to Empower – Motivate- Encourage – Inspire
