Anthony R Page Directs the Atlanta Debut of Carolyn Moore's Women Shop Talk, While Real Men Wait

Carolyn Moore's original stage play about
domestic violence makes its Atlanta debut.

Playwright, producer, and theater owner Carolyn Moore will make the Atlanta debut of “Women Shop Talk, While Real Men Wait” on March 10, 2018, at the Oasis Montage Performing Arts Center.

The testimony-based stage play was inspired by Carolyn's experience with domestic violence during her first marriage and centers around the lives of four sisters who keep their individual struggles shielded from each other. Through a series of events, the sisters move to a place of reckoning, catharsis, and healing. In the end, although they have suffered much life-changing losses, the sisters emerge stronger and are drawn closer to each other. Audiences will laugh, cry and connect to their individual stories.

Carolyn says, “By writing and producing this work, I have been able to turn my trials into triumphs. 'Shop Talk' is my life story and my effort to help others who are living in violent relationships." Also serving as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence Mrs. Moore has elected to donate a portion of the proceeds from this show to Promise Place,  which is a place of safety and support for women recovering from domestic violence. "I am a survivor of domestic violence and I know that victims listen to those that understand what they are going through. I want them to know that there is life after abuse.”

'Shop Talk' is led by a dynamic cast including comedienne Brigette Eppes, singer Sheri Booker as well as break-out actress Bridgett Brown. They are flanked by an energized supporting ensemble of talent including Garrett Patterson, Dee Dee Wigfall, Gabrielle Fluker, Austin Holmes, Demetrio Fray, William Wolf, and Janie King.

The production also includes special performances by several inspirational hip-hop artists including Poetic, Bless, Showtime, and Royalty Boys. There are also guest appearances from comedian Tommy Ingram and model Megan Sparks.

To bring her vision to life, Moore has chosen veteran director Anthony R. Page. With nearly 100 credits to his name, Anthony has been involved in a wide variety of independent film, television, and theater projects as well as client-driven photography & graphic design throughout the Southeast. He expressed his commitment to this project.

“I am inspired by a quote given by Oprah Winfrey during a speech at the 2018 Golden Globes. She said that “What I know for sure is that speaking YOUR TRUTH is the most powerful tool we have”.... and in this play, Carolyn has done that. This play is her powerful truth and I believe it will resonate. The power of the performances throughout this cast is undeniable, even more so the heart and truth of this story are compelling. As a creative entrepreneur drawn to meaningful material, I said to myself, I want to be a part of this and as always, we are expecting great things.”

On March 10, 2018, there will be two opportunities to see the show:
3:30pm and 7:30pm.

All performances will be at The Oasis Montage Performing Arts Center located at 383 Fayette Place in Fayetteville, GA. (Inside the Gospel Community Church Building).
