Anthony R Page's Play The Commitment to be Featured in a Series of Pop Up Plays Throughout Metro Atlanta

One of Anthony R Page's most successful short stage plays: THE COMMITMENT will be featured in a series of performances throughout metro Atlanta.

To further integrate theater into the fabric of daily living, Anthony and his team at Blue Bistro Creative are developing opportunities to present short, impactful play performances in nontraditional spaces. They are being called "Pop Up Plays."

The first in this series of  "Pop Up Plays" will be on Sunday, December 8th during an industry gathering and holiday party co-hosted by Blue Bistro Creative and Victor Love's Evolve Atlanta Acting Studio.

"We have had a great year and got the opportunity to be a part of and to work with some amazing creative people and productions including the short film Body And Son, The Blue Series - Special Women's History Month Edition, Aduke Aremu's American Black Princess, Kathryn Taylor Smith's A Mile In My Shoes (presented during The Atlanta Black Theater Festival), Models of Atlanta and BOP TV's Shades of Nubia Festival. So in the spirit of the holiday season and as a way to celebrate our successes we have planned an intimate gathering of our friends, colleagues, and collaborators and wanted to highlight the evening with this pop-up play."

The performance of THE COMMITMENT features actors Meki MacBrian Saylor, and Keturah Walker. The performance also includes an opening dance sequence choreographed by Britt Brown. Anthony serves as Director for this production. Designer Vanessa Henderson of Van Miller International and men's wardrobe specialist: Howard Gillespie of HG II Vintage Man will be providing the wardrobe for this production.

The pop-up performance will be at 6pm at the Arts Xchange located at 2148 Newnan Street, East Point, GA 30344. There is no cost to attend and all are welcome.

Other "Pop Up Play" performances are in development.
