Anthony R Page's Pitch for Project Greenlight Digital - - Now Recording with The White T's

Project Greenlight Digital - - Now Recording

DETAILED MUSIC VIDEO PITCH BREAKDOWN
(Approximate Run Time: 5 minutes)

OPENING SCENE BEFORE MUSIC BEGINS:
The video opens with a short dialogue sequence between Benin Navarro (a Latina high school student) and The Plain White T's in Benin's family home. Benin has convinced The Plain White T's to come to her town and play at a community block party. The goal of the block party is to create a greater sense of community within a city that is social. ethnically and economically transitioning. It's a small, diverse, yet divided community and most of the people stay isolated in small groups. Although she is excited about the occasion, she fears her neighbors may not attend.

To get more people to come out, the Plain White T's decision to take to the streets.

THE MUSIC BEGINS TO PLAY AS THE BAND MEMBERS LEAVE BENIN'S HOME.

We see the band walking through the streets interacting with people, laughing, and having fun. As the band members interact with the community various elements of their individual personalities are reflected.

Most of the time, the screen is split into multiple panels, showing the band simultaneously interacting with the community. There are key close-ups of the lead vocalist almost ever-present in a larger panel.

As the song progresses, we see a continuous tracking shot of them going from door to door, street to street with throngs of people beginning to follow them.

As we move into the 1st chorus we begin to develop the storylines of four people who live in this community.

They are:

Harley Totterdel - - Caucasian Male College Student
  • He lives in an upscale fraternity house in the neighborhood
  • He has been involved in social activism and wants to support the community block party
  • His fraternity brothers are reluctant to support him.
Tasia Belle - - Black Female High School Student
  • Lives in a public housing section of the neighborhood,
  • Her mom is a high school dropout and can't find a job
  • The daughter has become valedictorian of her class
Asher Mintz - - Jewish Male History Teacher
  • He is gay and is getting married to his Chinese Buddhist finance on this day.
  • His mom is not coming to the wedding because she doesn't accept his life choice
  • His upcoming marriage has divided the family
Joram Kouachi - - Syrian Male High School Student
  • His family are refugees from Syria and have recently moved into the community
  • They feel alone and isolated because of xenophobic tensions they have seen in the media
We develop these stories across the course of the music video.

FADE TO BLACK

Why should we do this project in Augusta, GA?

Augusta is a mid-sized city full of unique thinkers that are eager to make a national statement. To that end, so many creative professionals are working hard to establish a bonafide arts community and help our city become a part of the national creative conversation. Over the years, working in the arts community in a variety of capacities, I have established a coalition of dozens of people, who are willing to rally behind me on this project to make it successful.

I know that this pitch is ambitious, but with many talented people across the country making pitches, we wanted to make a bold statement.

Thank you,

Anthony R Page
