Sounds of the Underground-Atlanta is a TV series that examines the rapidly changing and ever-evolving music scene in one of the South's leading cities. Focused on the hustle, heartache, and hot music, a broadcast series is being  developed around 9 distinctive singers and groups  from Atlanta's expansive music community. The show will follow each of these artists as they work to make their mark in the music business on a day-to-day basis. The show will have intimate access to the talent, and  center on career-making, game-changing moments . New Play by Dennis J. West Comes to Augusta Augusta, GA. Local Producer / Director: Anthony R. Page has signed on to direct the original stage-play The Password. Written by Dennis J. West, the show will premiere at the Jabez Performing Arts Center in Evans, GA on July 19th with 2 shows @ 3pm and 7pm.  The Password stars Nathan Rothwell, Cache Perez, Ashley Black and Latoya Moran, who lead a cast of talent newcomers including Joseph McGary, NuNu Gholson, Hellena Lynch, Altina Menefee, Ralph Wimberly and Arthur Chapman. Page to direct  Shades of Love , a new stage play written by Miss Monique LaShon , an on-air personality with Clear Channel's Power 107 in Augusta, GA. We have made a commitment as a family and as a company to be more vocal about the cause of Sickle Cell Disease which leads to Sickle Cell Anemia. We recently attended a national gathering of the Sickle Cell Warriors, Inc in Atlanta and were able to find support through other advocates across the United States and Canada. We are looking forward to discovering more opportunities to be engaged and consistent in our support. Sickle Cell Anemia Advocate and Survivor: La'Veda Wallace-Page, D.Mus will present excerpts of her new play: Crisis and Courage on July 19th at 7:00 pm at the Doubletree Hotel (Buckhead). The play is a part of a series of activities presented by Sickle Cell Warriors, Inc. for their 2nd Annual Sickle Cell Community Gathering and Educational Symposium , which takes place from July 17th – 20th in Atlanta . Crisis and Courage chronicles La'Veda's struggle with Sickle Cell Anemia as a patient, a sister, and a mother and includes testimonies of the many men and women, she has interviewed, who struggle against the disease.
