Spoken Word Artist: Sa Jules Photography & Design Project

Image
We met Spoken Word Artist Sa Jules earlier this year. Through social media, we noticed that she was making her presence known in the local arts community, so we invited her out to be a part of our one-act stage play series titled: The Blue Series . After our show, she presented one of her most personal spoken word poems. She electrified the audience, and our team of storytellers we were moved by the many dramatic elements and characterizations in the work.  Since that time she has taken the stage as an actor in a number of our productions in both Augusta and Atlanta.  She approached us about doing a series of photos for her and her son: Lance, these are select images from that series.  Photography & Design by Anthony R Page  ------------------------------------------------------------------ A Complete Look at Anthony's Background Short BIO Comprehensive BIO Complete Directing Profile Complete Stage and Screen Writi...

He Never Came Back

Image
Millions of young Americans have volunteered to serve in the United States Armed Forces. Of the millions that serve, many thousands have had direct combat experience. And although they survived the various wars and military campaigns, their lives and the lives of those around them are yet threatened. According to a recent report released by the Department of Veteran Affairs, nearly 30% of the patients treated in VA Clinics, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, were diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The military has done a good job of helping these men and women with the financial, occupational, and medical quality of their lives, but the emotional, psychological and mental toll of combat has not been fully addressed. Many of these soldiers and their families have already paid a heavy price.  I believe we should take a 360-degree approach to care for our veterans. This approach should include providing creative outlets and direct artistic experiences for the...

Demetrio Fray - - Photography & Design Project

Image
Demetrio Fray is an Augusta, GA-based actor and musician who is quickly establishing himself as one of the most significant talents in the city.  We've had the pleasure of working with him this year on a few productions. He appeared in The Blue Series (which is our black box theater series) on April 15th - 17th in Augusta and recently took the stage in Atlanta (on July 9th) in the role of Jason "Jaye" Stone for a preview of our ground-breaking stage play: Somewhere in Summerville.   His performance was well-received by an audience that was filled with industry professionals including directors, producers, and playwrights.  Look for him in our premiere of the fully- staged production of Somewhere in Summerville , later this year.  In the meantime...here are a few highlights from our photo session.  Photography & Design by Anthony R.
