The week opens under the umbrella of The Alma Experience, the Alma Film Festival’s global engagement and hospitality arm, with an intimate evening designed around connection, conversation, and carefully curated experiences.

Hosted at Palate Atlanta Tasting Room, a boutique tasting room in Atlanta’s historic Castleberry Hill neighborhood, the evening will feature curated wine, craft food, and distinctive live performances in a setting built around craftsmanship, culture, and connection.

The Alma Experience approaches hospitality as intentional experience design—creating environments where people from different industries, countries, and cultures have the space to meet organically, exchange ideas, and begin relationships that can extend well beyond the evening itself.

Bringing together members of Alma’s international ecosystem with Atlanta’s creative, academic, cultural, business and technology communities, the Alma Experience sets the tone for the days ahead: high-touch, globally minded and deliberately designed for meaningful connectivity.

Channel Seven brings Hampton Roads’ creative pulse to Alma with a genre-blurring mix of sound, style and performance.

Special Musical Guest — Channel Seven
Based in Hampton Roads, Virginia, Channel Seven is a multidisciplinary artistic collective blending music, fashion, visual art, live instrumentation and DJ-driven sound into a fluid creative experience. Founded by Christian “Coop” Johnson and Mari “Marz” Poydras, the group reflects the kind of cross-disciplinary creativity at the heart of the Alma Experience.

Throughout the week, Channel Seven will be integrated across the Ent-Tech (Innovation & Discovery Expo) and select Afro-Mosaic Cinema Summit gatherings, bringing live music and performance into moments designed for connection, discovery, and cultural exchange rather than being confined to a single stage or appearance.

The evening will also include a series of tastings of craft wines from various regions across the world conducted by Behind the Pour and a special boutique theatre performance by Blue Bistro Theatre featuring the ground-breaking actress Robin Antoinette.
